What women are asking us when they inquire
The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!
Our number 1 priority is making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wracking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse and aren’t for anyone else’s eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! If there are photos that I would like to share, I will ask your permission first, and only share what you are comfortable with!
You definitely don’t have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality! There are a bunch of outfit ideas other than lacy little things!
I do offer a few payment options! There is a booking retainer to book your shoot, and the balance is due two weeks before the date of the shoot! If you want more time to be able to pay off the shoot, you can schedule it a few months out, and pay it off in payments! Let me know if this is something that you want to set up!
Hair and makeup is included in all of our boudoir shoots! I think it’s really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team can help you complete your look, whether that’s “I just woke up like this” or Full on glam! You can bring any ideas you want for your makeup and we can try to use it for inspiration!
I do edit your images for light, exposure, and color balance. I do NOT however edit anything “out” that is permanent unless you ask me too. I think it can be damaging to have a boudoir session done, and then edit out parts of yourself that make you who you are! Part of the process of accepting yourself and seeing your beauty also means not photoshopping out parts of yourself you don’t like. If htere are parts of yourelf that are learning to love and aren’t thrilled about, that is okay! I am skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best and brings out your shine!
There are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! Here is a long list to choose from with different style and sizing! Victoria’s Secret, Honey Birdette, Gooseberry Intimates, Thistle and Spire, Bluebella, Fredericks of Hollywood, Savage X Fenty, Playful Promises and Adore Me. If you are looking for something specific that you can’t find, let me know and I might know where to get it!
I offer a variety of albums and wall arts! My albums are gorgeous and the most popular way to display your images! Glorious and lustrous pages from the boudoir shoot that most flip through every chance they get! The wall arts I offer are beautiful and vivid! I love the feeling of picking up a physical piece of art, it’s so surreal to see yourself like that! They’re daily reminders that your self-image has completely changed after having your boudoir shoot.
All of my packages include some sort of art product, with some digitals included. I also offer an A la Carte list that you can choose from as well! On this list I have an option to add on digital images! These digital images come on a custom engraved crystal USB.
Nerves are all a part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN’t nervous. The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot make your moment of “WOW” seeing your photos for the first time so much better!
This depends on your package. 2-4 Outfits. If you can’t decide, plan to bring more so I can help you narrow them down and choose!
No. I schedule your session accordingly. Hair and makeup comes a few early to set up, that way when you arrive she is ready for you to get started.
