I am asked every year to do a halloween photoshoot, this year I decided to finally do it, and I even joined the women and I too dressed up and played a part in this Halloween photoshoot featuring classic horror film characters! We are young at heart, and like to have fun and dress up every now and then. It is good for the soul. It gives you something to talk about with your grandkids someday. Tell them how you lived!

All are characters from films I can remember being terrified of as a child. Films I to this day remember laying on the couch with the blanket pulled up just above my nose ready for the next jump scare so I can pull the blanket the rest of the way over my face!

I passed on this love of horror films to my own children. My two boys always loved every Michael Myers movie, even though they always had to be close by mom to watch them. My daughter was a huge fan of Werewolf movies and Freddy movies. Like the boys, she never ventured to far from me while watching.

Carrie

A 1976 horror film based on the novel written by Stephen King. The novel was inspired by two women King knew in real-life and went to school with. The original starred Sissy Spacek, she plays an abused introverted teen who finds she has supernatural powers and doesn’t seem to fit in at school, with classmates that taunt her and take a violent turn when they play a prank on her and invite her to prom. Carrie is a classic! If you haven’t watched it yet you need to! It’s an eery twist on a powerful woman taking her life into her own hands. Literally, burning an entire school down with the power inside of her. I am sure many can relate to her, just wanting to fit in a world you were born to stand out in.

Pennywise

Another title character from one of Stephen Kings many horror novels turned into a movie. First appearing in 1986, An evil clown that preys upon children. Pennywise, like Carrie has powers. His include shapeshifting, manipulating reality, and only children can see him. One symbolic part of this movie is the red balloon! “You’ll float too!” If you watched this movie as a child, you may now have a fear of clowns!

Freddy

Probably one of the most terrifying movies as a child! A Wes Craven classic, Nightmare on Elm Street.. released the year I was born, 1984. This movie was about a man, with burned skin named Freddy Krueger who would prey on teens in their dreams. Haunting their dreams until they were so exhausted they couldn’t fight the gruesome death he had in store for them! A secret kept by the teens parents lead them to discover the mystery of this phenomenon. To this day, I still can not watch this film alone!

When you have both characters, of course you have to get a Freddy VS Jason shot!

Jason

Jason Voorhees is from a 1980 horror movie about a child (Jason) who drowns at camp crystal lake due to negligence of camp counselors. Jason comes back for revenge on the camp counselors the following year at its reopening. Murdering anyone who stands in his way!

Michael Myers

Michael Myers is a character from John Carpenters Halloween series of slasher films. He started out as a young boy who murders his older sister on halloween. Michael returns 15 years later on a killing spree. His intentions are to murder his remaining relatives and baby sister. If anyone got in his way, he would kill them too!

Leatherface

Chainsaw-wielding Leatherface is the main murderous character in the 1974 horror film Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Leatherface attacks a group of teens who happened upon a farmhouse by detour, he kills them off one by one while he wears a mask of human skin.

Jigsaw

“The Jigsaw Killer” is a fictional serial killer from the 2003 “Saw” movie series. Jigsaw targets his victims by their decisions in life, then gives them “tests” or “games” to test their will to survive. If the victim happens to survive he considers it a rehabilitation.

Chucky

Chucky is from the 1988 horror slasher “Childs Play. Chucky, a “Good Guy” doll inhabited by the soul of a notorious serial killer. A serial killer who was killed in a police shoot out, but used a spell to inhabit the “Good Guy” doll and continues his killing spree.

Bride of Chucky

Tiffany, the ex-girlfriend of the serial killer whose soul is inside the “Good Guy” doll “Chucky” resurrects him only to get in an argument and be killed by Chucky. Chucky transfers Tiffanys soul into a bride doll and they search for an amulet to bring them back to their human form!

Hannibal
