The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!

Do you share my images?

My number one priority is making sure my clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wrecking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren’t quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your spouse and aren’t for anyone else’s eyes. These are all great reasons for not sharing your photos, and it all depends on your personal preferences! If there are photos that I would like to share, I will ask your permission first, and only share what you are comfortable with!

Do I have to wear Lingerie?

You definitely don’t have to specifically wear lingerie, it depends on your personality! Heck, I wore bib overalls for mine! There are a bunch of outfit ideas other than lacy little things!

Do you have payment plans?

We offer a few payment options! There is a booking retainer to book your shoot, a session fee. The session fee is due to book your session date. If you would like a payment plan or prepayment plan to start paying for product before your session and get it back quicker, I have those also! Is hair and makeup included?

Is hair and makeup included?

Professional hair and Airbrushed makeup is included in the Boudoir Session Fee! I think it is really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and makeup done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team can help complete your look, whether that’s a “I just woke up like this” or Full on glam! You can bring any ideas you want for your makeup and we can try to use for inspiration!

Do you photoshop my images?

I do edit your images for light, exposure, and color balance. I also soften skin and do very minimal edits. I do not edit out anything permanent such as a scar, moles, etc. I think it can be damaging to have a boudoir session done, and then edit out parts of yourself that make you who you are! Part of the process is accepting yourself and seeing the beauty, and not photoshopping out parts of yourself that you do not like. If there are parts of yourself that you are learning to love and aren’t thrilled about, that is okay! I am skilled in posing and lighting to make you look your absolute best and brings out your shine!

Where should I buy outfits?

There are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style of your shoot! Here is a list of my favorite places! Victorias Secret, Forever21, Adoreme, Torrid, Honey Birdette, Gooseberry Intimates, Playful Promises, Fashion Nova, and Amazon! If you are looking for something specific that you can’t find, let me know and I might know where to get it!

What type of print products do you have?

I offer a variety of luxury albums, wall arts, or glass boxes with prints in them. I also offer retro viewfinders which are a fan favorite! My favorite would have to be the albums and wall art. I absolutely love the feel of picking up a physical piece of ART! My Wall Arts are Art Gallery quality. My luxury albums are stunning, I ordered one from my boudoir shoot that I flip through myself every chance I get. I think I look at them more than my husband does. Its a daily reminder that my self-image has completely changed after having my boudoir shoot!

Do you offer digitals?

All of my collections include a certain amount of digitals, but there is also an A La Carte list that you can choose from as well! On this list we have an option to add on digital images! Digital Images purchased in a collection come on a beautiful custom crystal USB. Digitals purchased from A La Carte are downloads and come in a locked online gallery, for you to download and share!

I’m freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN’T nervous. The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot make your moment of “WOW” seeing your photos for the first time, so much better!

How many outfits should I bring?

I always suggest bringing 3-4 outfits! After hair and makeup we will go through them and choose which ones to use!

Should I get to my shoot early?

You can plan on getting to your shoot at the scheduled time, I will sit with you as you get hair and make up done and talk about your outfits and colors. Hair and makeup will then decide what look will be a best fit with your chosen outfits. After she gets started I stay in the hair and makeup room with you as you get glammed up to help ease your nerves some!

Where is your studio located?

I am located in Bucyrus, Ohio. Right on the main road (Sandusky Ave.). I love my hometown and the old rustic feels of the building I am in! There is so much history in my building, ask me about it!
